The application must be submitted to the City Clerk of the Municipality for which the audit is requested.
In accordance with The Municipal Elections Act, 1996, an elector who is entitled to vote in an election and believes on reasonable grounds that a Candidate or Third Party Advertiser has contravened a provision of the Act relating to election campaign finances may apply for a compliance audit of the Candidate’s or Third Party Advertiser’s election campaign finances, even if the Candidate/third party advertiser has not filed a financial statement.
The application must be made within 90 days after the latest of the following dates:

Personal information on this form is collected under the authority of subsections 8(1) and 10(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, and may be disclosed under the authority of subsection 88(5) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, (MEA) as amended. This personal information is collected in order to meet the requirements in section 88.37 of the MEA, and may be used for the purposes of reporting to the Municipal Election Compliance Audit Committee.
