Scare in the Square Involvement Application
Brantford’s popular Halloween fall event, Scare in the Square, turns Brantford into a spook-tacular place filled with fall and Halloween themed events and activities. This event takes place on Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Harmony Square (89 Dalhousie Street) and Mohawk Park (51 Lynnwood Drive). Free family-friendly activities include trick-or-treating, Silent Disco, Halloween Roller Skate, Casper’s Craft Corner, Thriller dance, HOWL-O-Ween Dog Parade, costume contests and much more. Attendees can enhance their experience with exciting add-ons, such as Escape Rooms, Paranormal Tours, a Haunted House and more for an additional cost.
The City is looking for local Brantford organizations/businesses that can make this beloved event, even more fang-tastic!
Help make Scare in the Square a success! Business and organizations can get involved through the following opportunities:
- Hand out treats to families trick-or-treating
- Decorate your storefront
- Enter the pumpkin carving contest
- Enter the scarecrow contest
- Donate a prize for the costume contests
Applications must be submitted by Friday, September 18, 2026.
