HipFest Marketplace Vendor Application

Harmony Square is home to many free programs and events each year. HipFest is a high-energy live music event celebrating iconic Canadian band The Tragically Hip, featuring a headlining performance by a Tragically Hip cover band. The concert experience is complemented by a vibrant marketplace, along with food vendors and community activations. It brings together music lovers, local businesses, and the community, and we are excited to welcome Marketplace vendors to be part of this dynamic event. If you are interested in vending, please fill out this application and staff will reach out within 5 business days with further instructions.

Personal information on this form is collected under the authority of section 10(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended and will be used solely for the City of Brantford's HipFest marketplace vendors. How many 10x10 size spaces do you require? Each space is $50. The maximum number of spaces allowed is two per vendor
 
Electrical spots are limited and cost an additional $25 each. How many 15-amp circuits do you require? Electrical requirements must be confirmed in advance, and cannot be changed the day of the event.
 
Do you give the City of Brantford permission to photograph you and/or your booth for promotional and marketing purposes?
 

By submitting this application, you are confirming that you understand and agree to the following:

  • NEW THIS YEAR: Insurance coverage is mandatory for all vendors. All approved marketplace vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance, in the amount of $2 million general liability listing the Corporation of the City of Brantford (58 Dalhousie Street. PO Box 818, Brantford, ON, N3T 2J2) as additional insured and noting that it is "For the activities held at 89 Dalhousie St, Harmony Square on Aug 15, 2026”. Certificate of Insurance must also include Automobile Liability in the amount of $2 million.
  • Vendors will not be able to attend the event without a completed application and full payment.
  • Registration fees are non-refundable.
  • Staff has the right to refuse a vendor if deemed inappropriate or unsafe.
  • Vendors have no exclusivity.
  • Two of the same type of product vendors may be accepted, this is at the discretion of the Special Events Supervisor. Vendors are accepted at a first come first serve basis.
  • Vendors are required to provide their own extension cords, tables, chairs, tents, tent weights, etc. There are no exceptions.
  • Tents must be weighed down using a minimum of 40 pounds per leg.
  • Requests for specific booth locations will not be honoured, and cannot be changed prior to the event or the day of.
  • Information on booth locations, parking and set up instructions will be sent the week prior.
  • If you leave before the end of the event, your vehicle cannot be brought onsite to load out.
  • A $50 fee will be charged if you leave your area a mess when you leave. Your area is your responsibility, please take care of it.
