Canada Day Volunteer Application

Enjoy a fun and rewarding experience by joining our volunteer team! We are looking for volunteers for Brantford’s Canada Day Celebration at Lions Park Steve Brown Sports Complex, located at 20 Edge Street, Brantford. Volunteer opportunities include set-up and tear-down, parking attendant (must be ages 18 or over), clean-up, and other duties as assigned for various jobs. Volunteers will receive a keepsake t-shirt.

Volunteers must be available to attend mandatory training on June 25 at 6:00 p.m. at Lions Park Auditorium.

Deadline for submissions is June 21, 2024.

Please note that the information collected from this submission is collected under the authority of Section 10 (1) of Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, and will only be used for the purposes of contacting volunteers for Canada Day and determining availability and job preferences. July 1 Parking attendants (Must be 18 years or over) (Shifts available between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.)

Set-up crew for signage, tables and chairs, etc. (must be available June 30 and early morning July 1)

Clean-up crew (must be available on July 2)

Green Team/Recycling and Organic Waste Division (must be available July 1 and/or July 2) (Shifts available between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.)

The safety of our volunteers is important to ensure that proper aid is provided in the event of an emergency. Please provide any relevant medical information such as allergies, medication, etc.

By checking the following, you give The Corporation of the City of Brantford consent to have your photo/video taken and used for future communication and promotions. There will be no monetary compensation or free use of facilities to use the photos/video taken. The City will not sell or transfer the rights to use any photos/videos to any third parties without expressing consent.
