Canada Day Marketplace Vendor Application

The City of Brantford is looking for Marketplace vendors to participate at Brantford’s Canada Day on July 1st from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Steve Brown Sports Complex/Lions Park. The Canada Day Marketplace is an outdoor open-air market providing Brantford’s Canada Day attendees the opportunity to shop. Applicable fees will be invoiced after you have received notice that your application has been approved.

Deadline to submit application is June 9 with payment required no later than June 16. Please note your spot is not confirmed until payment has been received.

Please note that personal information is collected under the authority of Section 10(1) of Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, and will be used for the purposes of contacting vendors regarding their Marketplace Vendor Application for the Canada Day event. End lots are limited in availability and cost $50 each. Do you require an end lot?
 
Electrical spots are limited and cost $50 each. How many 15 amp circuits do you require? Electrical requirements must be confirmed in advance, and cannot be changed the day of the event.
 

By submitting this application you are confirming that you understand and agree to the following:

  • Vendors will not be approved without a completed application and full payment.
  • Registration fees are non-refundable.
  • Staff has the right to refuse a vendor if deemed inappropriate or unsafe.
  • Vendors have no exclusivity.
  • Two of the same type of product vendors will be accepted. Vendors are accepted at a first come first serve basis.
  • Proof of liability insurance may be requested depending on product and risk.
  • Vendors are required to provide their own extension cords, tables, chairs, tents, tent weights, etc. There are no exceptions.
  • Requests for specific booth locations will not be honoured, and cannot be changed prior to the event or the day of.
  • Information on booth locations, parking and set up instructions will be sent the week prior.
  • All vendors are required to have a 'Standard Form Automobile Liability Insurance' that complies with all requirements of the current legislation of the Province of Ontario, having an inclusive limit of not less than $2 million per occurrence for Third Party Liability, in respect of the use or operation of vehicles owned, operated or leased by the Contractor. Each vehicle owner does not have to provide a COI but must have proof of $2 million automobile liability insurance available upon request.
  • You are responsible to take your belongings to your vehicle if you leave before the end of the event.
  • There are no vehicles allowed on site during the event. All vehicles must be off-site no later than 10:00 a.m.
  • A $50 fee will be charged if you leave your area a mess when you leave. Your area is your responsibility, please take care of it.
