Artist Call - Culture Days on the Trails

The Opportunity

Are you a local artist from the City of Brantford, the County of Brant, Six Nations of the Grand River, or Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation? The City of Brantford is looking for singers, dancers, poets, spoken word artists, musicians, theatre performers, and live painters to submit their proposal to showcase their skills on this year’s Culture Days on the Trails event, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, September 20.

The festivities will take place along a section of the SC Johnson Trail, starting from the Hardy Road parking lot and ending at the Lafayette Avenue and SC Johnson Trail junction. Trail users will be invited to walk along the trail and attend mini concerts and performances. Artists will be paid $250.00 for a three-hour performance time that will take place outdoors on the trail.

Please note that due to the outdoor nature of this event, there will not be any power or water supply. Shade will be limited, but performance sites have been selected based on shade and performance space. Artists will be selected through a jury-led review panel.

Please submit your application for Culture Days on the Trails by Friday, May 1, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
