All new Developments must apply for Municipal Waste Collection Services to be provided by the City of Brantford. This includes garbage, organics and yard waste. If the service requires waste collection vehicles to enter private property, then an ‘Internal Collection Agreement’ must be completed and provided to the City once the online application has been received and approved.
After your application has been received, an inspection of the site will be performed by City staff. If the site does not satisfy the servicing requirements for the property at time of inspection, the application for service will be denied. If the application is denied, the Developer/Applicant may reapply for service at a later date, when the site condition requirements have been met. Following the approval of an application for service, the City will provide further details regarding the ‘Internal Collection Agreement’ (if applicable), as well as a collection commencement date (once the Agreement has been executed) and details of how residents will be notified of collection commencement.
