Zoning Compliance Request

The Certificate of Zoning Verification and Property Information will provide information with respect to the zoning designation of the property, permitted uses of a property, and if a survey is provided, it will confirm if the buildings are located in compliance with certain development regulations of the zoning by-law. In order for our staff to properly determine the correct zoning of your property, it will be necessary for you to identify the property location as described in the Form Completion Instructions.

With this information, we will be able to identify the correct zoning designation (i.e. residential, commercial, etc.) from the zoning maps located in the zoning by-law. The Building Department has a copy of the zoning by-law in the office that may be reviewed, the zoning by-law is also available on the City of Brantford website.

Fees charged for responses are set by the City of Brantford fees and charges by-law and are currently set at $80.00 + HST for a total of $90.40. Payment is required before your request will be processed.
